Did you know that April 16th is World Voice Day (#WorldVoiceDay)? The motto of World Voice Day is “VOICE – The original social media.”
The idea behind World Voice Day is to celebrate that every voice matters (#everyvoicematters)! This is especially true for those of us who are vocally challenged, or are with some sort of a vocal disorder.
According to research compiled by National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD), I learned that approximately 7.5 million people in the United States have trouble using their voice.
Here are some resources to learn more about World Voice Day and vocal disorders:

One of my personal missions this year is to help raise awareness for various vocal conditions like the one that I have which is called abductor spasmodic dysphonia. If you’d like to help raise awareness for vocal conditions please feel free to share any of the images in this blog post on your social media, blog or in your newsletters.
Also please feel free to share this blog post (I would love you to!) and please consider using #WorldVoiceDay, #everyvoicematters, #vocaldisorders in your social sharing.
With love,
Dortha
