“What we see depends mainly on what we look for.” – John Lubbock
I definitely agree that it is a matter of perspective and what I choose to see.
This photo, for example, was taken over the top of a waterfall we had climbed to the top of. From this vantage point, one might never know we were standing over a waterfall. There’s a river off in the distance, and perhaps the eye is drawn there… perhaps to the left edge of the photo where there is a small portion of a fence that can be seen. That fence, by the way, has a sign on it that warns of the danger of climbing around this area, as someone had fallen and died from this spot a number of years ago. A lot of things to be mindful of and, again, I am reminded that it is about perspective and it depends on what I am looking for in the moment.
How does this resonate with you?
