One of the best things about getting out in nature is the ability to unplug and disconnect.
I generally find that once we’re around 15-20 miles in, I no longer feel the pull of all the things I left behind fall away. You know, the deadlines, the task lists, all of the day-to-day things.
My breathing becomes less restricted.
My thoughts become less focused – more “floaty,” if you will.
My creativity is inspired.
There’s a feeling of euphoria that cannot be well-described into words, other than to say when I emerge on the other end of the trail, I feel like a new person. Ready to set new goals and tackle new challenges and opportunities!
