Nature is truly a powerful healing and restorative force.
We took a few days and visited Crater Lake National Park last weekend. One of the most interesting things I noticed was how my breath changed over the progression of the trip.
On the first day or so, my breathing was shallow and less focused.
On day two and three, I noticed a calmness to my breathing – more concentration and deliberateness.
Not just because we hiked up to some gorgeous peaks.
Not just because we were at higher elevations.
I realized it was because I had let go of tasks in my business, things to tend to when we got back, etc.
By the time we were on our way home, my breathing was much more deliberate and focused. Such an interesting realization.
Have you paid attention to your body when you take time to rest, restore and connect in nature? What have you noticed?
