Several weeks ago, I decided to put an idea out that I was very nervous about doing – hosting an encouragement circle. Essentially, it’s a virtual gathering of entrepreneurs and we network… we share who we are, what we are working on, and where we can use support.
I mentioned that I was very nervous about it because I didn’t know what people would think. However, I kept feeling in my heart to do it. You know, that gnawing, perpetual reminder of something that keeps presenting itself? You know, when things keep showing up because God wants you to do something. Yeah, that.
In the back of my head, my insecurities were trying to take over by telling myself “I didn’t have what it takes” and “oh gosh, what if no one shows up?” and “will anyone else find this of value?” and so on.
So, I sat down at my computer, I created an invite and shared it on social media that I was hosting an encouragement circle… and you know what? People were interested. People reached out. And people have been coming to the circle each week. I asked the group last week if they wanted to continue doing the gatherings, as I only wanted them to be of value for people and the answer was a resounding YES!
I share this story in hopes that it motivates you to take action, trust the seeds of faith that are in you… and maybe in this time of the global pandemic is what it takes to nourish and encourage them to grow. Trust that God is going to be there every step of the way and we only need but ask up for guidance.
