Your Friendly Hise Hikers Tuesday Tip…
Sometimes, you have to reevaluate, reassess, and regroup. Then kick a$$ and finish strong!
Recently, on one of our backpacking trip, it became very apparent finishing the hike in 5 days wasn’t going to happen. In addition to Jason feeling bad from the altitude and the elevation gains, another member of our group had really bad blisters on their feet.
At the end of day 2, after we fell 4 miles short of our goal… we set a new goal to get 18 miles the next day. And then, that didn’t happen. And you know what? It all worked out exactly as it was meant to. We reevaluated our supplies and food, reassessed our mileage each day, and then regrouped stronger than ever to kick a$$ the remainder of the trip. And we did just that!
Sometimes, an obstacle presents itself in order for us to grow…
