Wednesday Wisdom… A Reason, A Season, Or A Lifetime.
Do you ever think about the people with whom you are no longer connected to, in order to reflect on the reason or season they were in your life?
I have been reflecting on this for the past several days and while I deeply miss the people who aren’t in my life anymore… I trust God/ the Universe/ the Divine/ my Creator in releasing them from my life with purpose and reason.
Some people come into my life to teach me something. That relationship or connection may be short-lived… or it may take a while.
Some people come into my life for a longer purpose – a season – and maybe I’m learning from them and it’s also me imparting some wisdom, experience, or knowledge that I’ve learned… and those generally have an expiration date, too.
Some people come into my life forever… or when we connect it is like we’ve known each other our entire lives.
You see, I’m someone who loves hard and with my whole heart… so loss for me is sometimes challenging.
While I’m sad to have lost some of the reason and season connections, I am grateful for the lessons, experience, wisdom, etc. I received.
What’s that Dr. Seuss quote? “Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened.”
Yeah, definitely leaning into that.
