Your Friendly Hise Hikers Tuesday Tip: That Week Between Christmas And New Year’s.
What are you up to in this last week of 2022?
Jason and I are catching up on a variety of things and starting the ever-exciting process of beginning to figure out our backpacking trips in the coming year.
I took this screenshot from one of the apps we use for planning called FarOut Guides. This is roughly the distance we have remaining to complete our goal (I say roughly because I couldn’t get the screen to capture exactly what we have remaining)… and I cannot tell you how exciting it is to be able to nearly fit the remaining mileage of our goal onto a single screenshot!
Mind you this distance will take a LOT of preparation and planning… it’s all high-elevation trekking… it’s all fairly remote (meaning there aren’t a lot of places we can drive to on both sides as we generally do our ‘through-hikes’ so there will be more logistics involved).
And we are SOOOO excited about the prospect of seeing what’s to come on this stretch of the trail.
