Wednesday Wisdom: Reflect on year-over-year successes (and celebrate)!

I thought it was fitting to reflect on the last hike we climbed Freel Peak… which was almost one year ago from when we did it this year.

As I’ve mentioned a few times, this time we extended our trek to Job’s Sister Peak and the challenges that I experienced on the other side of that peak.

As I reflect on both hikes, I think of how challenging Freel Peak seemed last year and how (not that it wasn’t challenging, because it was) much easier it was to summit this year. Isn’t that an interesting observation? I’m reminded of that saying, “one day this will be your warm-up” because I know that what I’m actually describing is being in better shape, more conditioned, etc. So, I’m celebrating that for sure! WHOOT!

Anyway, I thought Frank A. Clark’s quote s a good one to leave with this post: “If you find a path with no obstacles, it probably doesn’t lead anywhere.”
