Think About It Thursday: Be Like The Trees.
I have absolutely been moved to tears after traversing burn scar areas that have devastated areas that we have hiked in.
This quote got me thinking more about the imagination of nature itself, and specifically, what trees might see and endure in their lifetime.
Have you ever considered the things that trees see and hear during the course of their life? And imagine the stories they could tell? I certain do.
The beautiful birds that make homes in them.
The animals that seek refuge in them from predators.
The crazy hikers they see.
The monsoonal rains threaten to uproot them.
The fires and other storms scorch them to nubs.
The beauty and grace with which they take all of that in stride. For decades… centuries… is something that I strive to emulate.
