I saw this in the blogging ideas from Michelle Shaeffer…and I just love the idea! So here is my open letter to Reese Witherspoon (image below from imdb.com):

Dear Reese,

I think the first movie I saw you in was the 1996 film Fear, with Mark Wahlberg. I’ve seen many of your movies –a couple of my personal favorites: Just Like Heaven, Four Christmases, Walk the Line, and Election. You have a personable style that comes across on the big screen and I love that!

Reese WitherspoonI read somewhere that you took singing lessons for the part in Walk the Line to play the part of June Carter, you did an amazing job! And congrats on that Oscar!

I love your passion to find a cure for breast cancer and that you have done many of the breast cancer awareness walks. I also admire that you have taken such a personal stake in speaking out against domestic violence, and I believe you appeared with Andrea Jung, the former CEO of Avon North America, at the United Nations to speak on this very issue.

Another thing I admire about you, Reese, is that your personal life is very personal. Not a lot of what goes on in your life ends up in the news, and as a celebrity, I imagine that is quite a feat.

As a sales and leadership representative with Avon Products, I have also followed your goings on within the company, including your own fragrances for the company, being named Avon’s Global Ambassador and Honorary Chairman of the Avon Foundation–all incredible accomplishments.

A random fact: You and I share the same birth year, about 1 month apart!

I have your photo on my vision board, with the intention that someday I will get to meet you–an intention I hold very close to my heart.

I think you are a fabulous actress and a woman with a passionate heart for women’s issues-which I love!

Thank you for your time in reading this letter.

Respectfully,

Dortha Hise
